With the closure of Belhaven Hospital, we have started the process of developing a ‘community asset transfer‘ application to NHS Lothian so as to bring the site of Belhaven Community Garden into community ownership. By taking ownership and full control of the garden, we will be able to maintain and further develop the garden and expand activities so as to reach and benefit even more people and groups across Dunbar and district in future.
We are currently in discussion with NHS Lothian and have set up this website so as to be able to keep people updated as we go through the ‘asset transfer’ process. This process is likely to take many months.
